Existe um tabu ao ver as cicatrizes do cancro da mama, mas a designer Dana Donofree teve a ideia de enviar durante a passarela por AnaOno, 16 mulheres que sobreviveram ou ainda trabalham na luta contra o cancro. Dana pensou que era tempo das cicatrizes serem expostas á uma luz diferente. ”Estas senhoras são imensas corajosas e merecem ser vistas.”
Dana começou a sua marca de moda quando ela mesma sobreviveu ao câncer da mama. As suas coleções são, acima de tudo lingeries feitas para as mulheres como ela própria. As mulheres cujos seios são amputados, foram submetidas a reconstrução da mama ou que vivem com a dor dos tratamentos contra o cancro.
As 16 mulheres mostraram as suas cicatrizes com orgulho e todos os lucros do show serão doadas à organização non-profit organisatie Cancerland. Uma iniciativa de se louvar!

There is still a taboo on seeing the scars of breast cancer but the designer Dana Donofree grabbed the chance to send during her fashion show for AnaOno, 16 women that have survived breast cancer or still working with the fight against the disease to the catwalk. Dana thought that it was time to put the scars in a different light. ”These ladies are very brave and deserve to be seen.”
Dana started her fashion brand when she herself survived breast cancer. Her collections are therefore above all from lingerie made for women like themselves. Women whose breasts are amputated, have undergone breast reconstruction or pain of the cancer treatments.
